Dr David Mendoza

David Mendoza completed his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the University of the Philippines – Los Baños in Laguna, Philippines. Recently, he was awarded a Doctoral degree for his thesis entitled ” Engineering Nanocellulose: Chemical Functionalization for Applications”, which was supervised by Prof. Gil Garnier and Prof. George Simon.
David is currently employed as a Research Fellow at BioPRIA in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. His project will be focused on functionalization of nanocellulose with polyacrylic acid for superabsorbent applications. He is also working on the preparation of nanocellulose-based vitrimetric materials for value applications.
